W850i does not work well in US
    1. does not have GSM850, though it's OK with T-Mobile
    2. no EDGE, a major disadvantage for browsing internet or tethering
if you really want slider, wait for W580 or S500, they're W850 successor, and specially for US market

you can buy W810 unlocked, non-branded from amazon or mobilecityonline
if you want to get cingular version, make sure it's unlocked, and de-brand with wotanserver to get rid of these useless stuff

    Here...

    Compare phones - GSMArena.com

They both have the same 2MP camera. However, the W810i has AutoFocus, making for better pictures, and the W850i doesn't. W850i has A2DP stereo bluetooth so you can use wireless bluetooth headsets, the W810i doesn't.You must also remember that the W850i does not support 850MHz. So if you have Cingular, and the 850MHz band is prdominant in you area, your reception is not going to be that great.
