Nextel service is terrible!! Dropped calls, poor reception and no service. I am in MA and travel to NY and the service seem sto be the same in both areas.

You don't think Nextel could do the same thing. Any phone can be tapped if Big Brother sees a reason for it.

Verizon

Verizon is better but my relative works for them and he told me they can tap your phone if it is needed to be tapped. With that at mind I'm staying with my Nextel :-D works perfectly for me.

I honestly like Verizon better than Nextel. Since Nextel is merging with sprint, both Sprint-Nextel and Verizon are CDMA Networks. The reason for my choosing Verizon is just because they are usually 1 of the first ones to get the latest technology and have some really good, affordable phones.

i live in norhtern westchester in new york and I am wondering which carrier would be better, nextel or veriozn?
