i tried to reset the phone and when that didnt work i lost all my patience and threw the phone against the wall. it was however a fantastic phone when it was working properly.
now waiting for the S730 to be available.

Have you tried (when the screen goes black) to press i.e. the button above the "end call" button? (<--). It goes into "standbymode" after a while you see, this might be it.

sounds like there's some conntections bad somewhere. With either the sim card or something internal. Unfortunately that's not something that's easy to diagnose.

One other thing… The alarm goes off all time. I is like the alarm goes off for every time I have ever set it. I have even gone in and turned the alarm off, but it still goes off about 10 times a day.

    Hello everyone,
I am writing from southern California. I purchased my phone as a gray market phone through mobile planet with service with T-Mobile. I have been very happy with the phone until recently. The phone is really acting up lately.
The symptoms started off as just the screen going black. I would simply take out the battery and restart the phone. This is getting more and more frequent. Then I would get the message “no sim card inserted”, “sim card with fault”, and “battery fault”. So I went into a T-Mobile store and got a new sim card. I am no longer getting the error messages, but my screen is still turning black. Also, when I take out the battery and restart the phone it is not always turning right on. The screen with just stay black or the phone will just start to vibrate. After about 5 to 8 tries it will work, but it is very frustrating.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue is or how I can fix it? Unfortunately because the phone is not a T-Mobile phone they are not much help.

    Thanks in advance.
    Ryan
