The series 60 touch, is the operating system in development...basically series 60 with a touch screen, I don't think there is a phone in the works yet...they are trying to get the software down.

Its time for a new phone, I've had nokias in the past and they were great, one went through the washing machine and once it dried out turned back on and continued working great!

So I've been browsing Nokia and I've decided I really like the N95. so to my first question. I don't want to change providers, so will this phone work on T-Mobile? Will it work on my current sidekick plan without any changes, data plan etc? also, where is a good reliable place to buy this phone?

Second question. I was watching a video about S60 "touch interface" and LOVE the phone in it. (sorry, was gonna post a link to the video but I can't because I don't have 10 posts... gay) Kind of looks like an iphone. I assume this is just a demo and not actually in production?

Thanks guys, look forward to the responses.
Hello, and welcome to Cell Phone Forums.

Everyone is basically a noob at some point, so don't worry about it. Yes, the Nokia N95 will work with your provider since the N95 supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900, and T-Mobile's native signal is 1900. I'm not sure about what plan you're talking about, but if you're refering to the unlimited data plan, it will also work with the N95. For buying a N95, you can check out a Nokia store if you have one in your area. However, if you buy it from there, more than likely you will be buying it at full retail price. You can also check out stores that sell unlocked phones. Online, sites that I would recommend are: MobileCityOnline, Plemix, and PhoneSource-USA. Just remember that when buying a N95, since you're going to use it with T-Mobile, you don't need to buy the N95-3. The N95-3 supports US 3G data speed, and you won't need it since T-Mobile only has EDGE. So, you can go with either the regular N95 (N95-1), or the N95 8GB.

I'm not familiar with the S60 touch interface you mentioned. It's probably in the works, idk. Apple did create an amazing browser with the iPhone, so it's only natural that other manufacturers try something similar, just like HTC's Touch.
