    Hi mikeb964,

Gr8 to know that your vibrating alert problem has been solved for Nokia 5300. I am facing the same problem, I have the vibrating alert on but still the phone does not vibrate. Can you plz help me solve this.

Or you can just switch to silent mode, unless it's customized not to vibrate. Make sure to do everything peryus88 told you

Thanks for your response, but I'm still having a little trouble.

Within the different call settings there are 5 options (ringing, ascending, ring once, beep notice and off) but no vibrate.

There is a "vibrate alert" area which I have on the on position but aside from that there seems to be no way to turn on the vibrate. And even with the vibrate in the phone still won't vibrate. I cannot figure it out.

    Hello, and welcome to CPF.

Go into menu, settings, then profiles. Under profiles, there will be a few options for any of the given profiles: activate, customize, and timed. Choose customize, and switch any notifications you want to vibrate.

Another way is to just make a new profile. There is going to be My profile 1, and My profile 2. Just customize any of those two, and rename one to what you want.

Hey, I feel like an idiot but I cannot figure out how to get this phone (the nokia 5300) to simply be on vibrate mode.

Silent mode just cuts off all sound and nothing vibrates.

I would like to be able to have it vibrate when I get an incoming text message or phone call. Can anyone help?
