Did you try replacing the SIM with another one to test? It might be locked due to Orange rather than Sagem. If you think it's the phone, perhaps you could (gulp!) unlock it with software on ebay?

can anyone help me, my son has a sagem my411x phone and has been messing around with it and now for some reason it wont call out to ring orange to top up the phone or ring any number. has anyone any idea why this has happened, he said he hasnt put any pin numbers in but im not sure, any help would be greatly appreciated,
