Ah but the thing is, I've had the same problem with the phone while it was in its own belt clip!!! I had got a text or IM or sumthin and a min later i pulled out phone to check it and the stupid thing was calling sumbody! So unless you lock the keys (which is annoying to have to repeatedly do/undo) then the touch screen seems to always cause this slight problem.

"1. When talking on phone (without earpeice) your ear will often inadvertant;ly touch the touch screen, and open programs etc etc."

This kind of phone is not really meant to be held up to your ear except in odd situations (Like not having a headset). If you need to hold it up to your ear, you might want to consider putting it into "standby" (should not kill the call) to lock the touch screen and buttons.

"2. you cant really inconspicuously keep phone in your pocket, like a clamshell."

Nor can you really keep a Palm Pilot, though this is a bit smaller, its focus is being a PDA with a phone inside. The belt holster is pretty much the only solution.

"3. If you get a call when phone is off (standby i think?) the touch screen is activated and the call can be answered if its in your pocket or backpack."

Key Lock will prevent this. (Hit the lock icon)

"4. Music player totsally bogs down the phone, --sometimes phonw locks up for 10 seconds at a time."

Everything bogs down this phone sadly. Workaround is to reset once a day and not run too much at once. Close extra programs.

"5. No 3.5mm adapter for the HTC EXTUSB audio jack. After going to 3 different stores, i finally had to special order an adapter (anyone want this??)"

The jack is sad. I don't like it. I need a special dongle just to sync my phone?! I'll agree with you there.

I believe you have 14 days in order to return it, call up the shop where you bought it and see what they say. If they are very negative on the phone call up to T-Mobile and see if they can help directly.

I did locate some software that allowed me to transfer a few of the programs over from the built in ram to the microSD & at the same time reprogram the registry to look for it on there as well. I'll see if in the long run it helps, I'll also just keep my camera in 1mp or less mode for now.

Tom in Az - I haven't heard anything regarding updates for the wing.

Wing is a good phone, but like everyother device I have ran into it does have drawbacks.

I have no such problems with my Wing. I've listened to music and texted and **** at the same time with no slowdown; and I don't have problems hitting buttons when talking on the phone, either. Maybe your head's too big?

Is there a way we can get as a few people to do some work on the OS? It would be nice to get rid of some of the overhead so it would run faster. BTW, has anyone seen any updates for the Wing? I know that I have not.

    1. Wow...I didn't know that the earpiece was placed where the ear touches and the screen responds. I never had any problems with the MDA, 8125, and the 8525.

    2. Well, of course, it is a PPC. It's geared for more of a business professional use...so, it's more suited using a case with a belt clip. If you don't really need the touchscreen feature and want something more thin, you might want to consider the Dash.

    3. Like I stated on 2, it's more better placed in a case with a belt clip.

    4. I'm not surprised. I've read the hardware specs, and it's not that much different from that of the MDA (its predecessor). I was really disappointed with this. Also, it runs really slow with Windows Mobile 6, IMO.

    5. Yeah, it had to be sacrificed to try and help slim down the profile.

Hope you have a better experience with your KRZR.

There are some things on this phone that are so annoying that I decided to return it:

    1. When talking on phone (without earpeice) your ear will often inadvertant;ly touch the touch screen, and open programs etc etc.

    2. you cant really inconspicuously keep phone in your pocket, like a clamshell.

    3. If you get a call when phone is off (standby i think?) the touch screen is activated and the call can be answered if its in your pocket or backpack.

    4. Music player totsally bogs down the phone, --sometimes phonw locks up for 10 seconds at a time.

    5. No 3.5mm adapter for the HTC EXTUSB audio jack. After going to 3 different stores, i finally had to special order an adapter (anyone want this??)

Phone is great for thiose that have to have the mobile stuff (office/ wifi etc)
for their job or whaqtever, but too many annoying glitches for me.

    I'm getting Moto KRZR K-1
