I have MPT but when I load a file to my Motorola phone I cannot use it as a ringtone.
Can anyone explain to me why.

Use SoundTaxi_3.1.1 it will convert aac to mp3 very easily to get rid of the protection, and then I use Goldwave as an editor/mixer to customize the ring tone. I have a motorola phone and I have the phone tools to transfer the ringtone to my phone. Very quick and painless!!Hidden Content Hidden Content

i have recently learned of a way to get around this if you have a motorola phone but it takes a few steps and doesn't work for all phones.

First, buy and install the Motorola Phone Tools software (MPT). you can get this from the motorola website or from ebay. it may take a few times to load but keep trying (however, i have only gotten it to work with windows xp)

Second, download the songs you want to use onto CDs. This is the only way I know of to convert iTunes music into MP3 format, which you need for the MPT.

Now, follow the instructions from the MPT and enjoy your new ringtones.

It's as simple as this one word COPYRIGHT. Also, the non copyright & high quality tracks are not allowed for ringtone creation either.
