    Chris,

not sure if this helps, but here's the URL of the ZTE company in Hong Kong.

the site is in english, so maybe by having the phone in your hands, you can determine which section of the company deals with what you've got, hence, which link to click once you get to their main page...

maybe you can take it from here.

i have no idea how to find a replacement screen for it now because i still dont know what it means. something about a city jewel but i really need to find out how to find a screen on the web.

I purchased a smartphone on ebay and the screen was damaged not long after i had it.
i have never seen any phone like this or nor have my friends, relatives or any mobile company in Greater Manchester location in the UK

I would really appreciate if you could please reply with the model of the phone as i am confused because it is a japanese or chinese smartphone, the writing on the battery is japanese or chineese and i really need a replacement screen..

    here are some details....

when i take out the battery it has japanese and then 6188 so i dont know if its a model number or anything.
    its touchscreen,
    GSM
the language at the moment is englis but it can use other languages.
has 'MPEG4' on the top left corner above the screen
it has a T-Flash memory card slot on the left side and a camera button above.
    a pull out stylus
it has a brushed metal frame around the phone
on the back is a centered 2 mega pixel camera and a very loud speaker on bith sides of the camera.. its the loudest phone speaker i have ever heard.

i think it is a ZTC model but cannot find no evidence to back it up.

to unlock the phone u have to press the green answer button and then touch the center 'X' on the touch screen.

i have attached a picture and i hope you will get back to me if your not to busy

    Very much appreciated,
    Christopher Kelly

From the writing, it appears to be a Korean cell phone. I used to live there and found out the hard way that their phones don't work in America, and vice versa . . . something to do with the chips?
