Here's an odd thing. Six cell phones in my house. Last Friday, mine, and only mine, stopped working in the house. It works fine once I'm about 1/2 mile away from my home. I've had this cell phone for a year and the number for several years.

I can't send nor receive texts. I can't call out nor can anybody call me. Other phone functions (alarm, setting speed dials, etc.) still work.

Saturday, we took this LG phone to our provider who put the latest software version into it. Brought it home and still it won't work, but only when I'm at home. Went back to provider a second time and replaced my LG with a duplicate, brand new. Same problem. Brought it home and it won't work in my home. Last night went back to provider for third time and bought a brand new Samsung. Brought it home and it still won't work, at home only.

Through all of this, the other five cells in the house work fine.

There was some talk of a company in the area with some tower that is sending out a "repeater signal" (?) - some kind of signal booster that may be interfering with my provider's tower. And I don't know if this is true or not. And if it is true, why JUST MY PHONE?

Now, my question is this: Could it possibly be my telephone number? For some reason could my telephone number be disrupted while the other five cell phone numbers in my house not be disrupted? Would changing my cell phone number solve this problem?

    Thanks for any help.
