Hello what a great source of information on this post. I have been reading quite a bit and I am looking foreward learning and sharing more tips and tricks in the future. Here is my story.
I bought a samsung a900 last april it fell into salt water in october I took it apart and dried it out In the meantime I activated an old audiovox I had untill I either repaired or replaced my a900. I happened across one that was on a sprint network in fla off of ebay so I requested the esn from seller and gave it to my provider and they said all checked out so I bought it. I intended to use the key pad off it and repair my own a900 but upon closer inspection it actually was not the keypad it ended up being the connector on the board so I put the used sprint cdma a900 back together and called aliant (bell in the maritimes) and told them that I wanted to just activate the used a900 because I could not fix mine. They said no problem it will be $25.00 and I have to go to the nearest dealer to get it done. The next day I went in to get it done and This is where the B.S. all starts. They looked at me like I had hornes sent me to 2 other places as noone could access the programming. Finially one dealer told me to get the phone unlocked from sprint and thye would gladly hook it up after I get that done. So I called sprint they told me to call back 3 days later for the msl code. about 20 calls later they are refusing to give it to me and I did try to call the original owner but he is not interested in getting involved. So here Iam I have been trying 2 or 3 different software progs but have no knowledge of what to use or where to get it. What I would like to do i is just put my number and esn from my broken a900 to the used a900 sounds simple enough but Is it possible? If so how?
Any helpwould be appreciated. If it is not do able I will probably just cut my losses and mayby buy a 10 4 phone im looking for a 7050 sanyo any idea if it is a good phone or not?
    Thanks
