Are you getting any reception? Typically a cell phone will give me that message when I don't have any bars.

I bought a v500 for my sister and prior to shipping it to her, tested it with my sim card. Everything worked well. When she got it, she was able to use it with her sim card for one day and then the next, it said "Emergency Calls Only" and she can neither send nor receive calls. ATT says it's a software issue. Any suggestions? Thanks!

BTW - my mother's sim card also didn't work in phone, but both sim cards work in their original phones.
