MY suggestion is try the JuiceCaster application. Takes phones and turns them into well functioning multimedia tools -- has been a dream for me.

just to be sure you are moving the jad and jar files to the other files folder in your phone using the phone browser( or moving both files to your memory card then moving them to the prior folder) then entering the code and selecting the jad file ( to be sure this game or application is available for sale for your phone model and meant to be used on this phone) I followed those directions and it worked great I was trying mobile checkbook, when I went into other files and scrolled to the I didn't even have to select options the left softkey just said install wish I could be of more help.

Finally worked for one game, but it rejects most. at least I know the code works though. I wonder if there's a size issue? I have plenty of room in my phone memory though.

I have had the same problems with my t539. After I activated it, and moved the jar and jad files to the phone memory, when I clicked options it only gave me the options for any ordinary file, such as move, delete, etc. Selecting the file yielded, 'file not supported' yada yada. So I tried to do it quickly but still only got the 'java error: illegal argument' message. I wouldnt mind having to do this every time if it actually worked, and actually there's only one particular game I want right now. I wonder what I am doing wrong and what I can do to fix it--I have both the .jar and .jad files so there's no need for me to download the jadmaker software. if it worked for someone else, can you give me some advice to try it again?

Ok, I got it to work to a point..... Now when I select a .jad, I get "Java error. Illegal Argument" The software I downloaded claimed that it was Beat compatible, so I have no idea how to make it work. Also, is there a quick way to make .jad's for .jar's?

when I was doing it, there seemed to be a time limit in witch you had to activate the .jad try it once more this time enter the code get the activated screen then immediately go to the .jad and it should install

I did as you said, typed in the code and got activated. However, when I selected the .jad I still got "unknown file type", the matching .jar was with it. What is wrong?

Yeah, idle screen is what you see when you open the phone, the screen showing your wallpaper and such. And yes, include the * and #. After the second *, the rest of the numbers you input will display as -------, but they're still entering correctly. As soon as you press the second #, it should give you the "Enabled" message.

By idle do you mean the main screen? Also, do you include the *s and #s?

The Java install enabler code for T539 phones is (input the following at the idle screen):

    *#9998*4678255#

After inputting, you should recieve an "Enabled" message. This will allow you to install Java software to your T539 phone. However, you still can't install from a .jar file directly; you need a matching .jad file to do so. Move the .jar and matching .jad into your memory card's "Other Files" folder, via whatever connection (most likely USB) you use. Disconnect your USB connection, move the .jar and .jad from the memory card to the phone, then go to the phone's "Other Files" directory, and highlight the .jad file. Press the Options button and it should give you a choice to install the file.

I just got this phone, but it seems to have a problem with java. I try to transfer a .jar or .jad file to the phone, yet it says unknown file type. It came with java games, so I know it has some type of java environment. However, I do not know of a way to enable it or install the java games. Can anyone give some suggestions?
