sideloading speed I meant by USB transfer speed, not 3G.
The Touch Dual is advertised as Hi-Speed USB, but it is Full-Speed USB.

It is, however, faster than TyTNII (which is a Full Speed)

The simple answer is faster speed uses too much battery and they are focusing on size and weight here. Even with Wi-Fi on smartphone/pda, a strong 3G signal is nearly as fast. With standard settings I hit 1500kbps typically with Wi-Fi and I hit 1200kbps with full bars on 3G service. How much are you paying for unlimited 3G internet on your mobile?

Agree, i bought one and hate it. The sideloading performance is pretty slow too. at least 20min for a 1GB movie
