At first I loved this phone, but it was short lived. I have had to send my phone in twice. The first time because the touch screen stopped working, when they sent me a "new phone" is was not programed right and had to send it back. The phone itself is not all that great, ringer volume is not very loud, camera shoots blurry unless you hold it extremely steady, the battery life is not all to great, the key pad is a little to small. It has become quite frustrating, however I do like the bluetooth, fairly easy to use and I enjoy the mp3 player as well. Still do regret buying this phone.

The Glimmer comes with a protective shield as not to mess up the screen. I'm sure you could find other protective covers for the screen, but mine works great, even in my pocket.

As far as having tiny fingers go, you can go into the calibration section and customize it for you fingers. I've done it a couple of times cause I was getting frustrated to get the icons to work. This is not a problem go to settings, sound&touch, calibration settings #9.

A couple of things I dislike about the phone is the camera shutter speed and the scroll features, especially in contacts. When in 2 Mp mode, and you have aperfect shot and you click the button, it takes about a second or so, leaving you with a blurry shot as most things you wanted to shoot, especially friends, babies, etc. look horrible unless you have someone stay still for at least 2 seconds. I wish it was adjustable.

Other than that I love this phone!

I have had the phone for less than a Monththere are certain things that I love about it. If you have a big enough memory card the video camera can record up to 1 hour. The Camera is awesome with the flash and all. it does have the vibe and ring option

    NEGATIVES:
CanNot recieve ringtones via text, ALLTEL is blocking this feature on all newly realeased phones due to loosing to much money from this feature, I am still trying to figure out how to bypass this issue If you do let me know.

the Glimmer is awesome but when you just want to make a quick phone call using the dial pad you better have skinny fingers it real compact.

When changing the memory card you have to take the back battery cover off everytime.

The display screen is easily scratched, worse than any phone I have had.

Battery time SUCKS!! I listen to my mp3 player all day at work and with this phone it is dead by half the day.

My contract with Alltel expires in a month or two, so I have been checking out the latest phones to see which one I want to get with the new contract I will be signing. I think I am going to be getting the LG Glimmer (AX830), but before I do, I wanted to get some kind of review on the phone. I am looking to get the low-down on everything good and bad about the phone.

A couple things I would like to have verified by current owners:
    1) what are the ringer options? I know there is that nagging gradual ringer, but is there an option for vibrate and ring?
    2) Have you been able to upload from your computer (via USB data cable) mp3s and then use them as ringtones for contacts?
