The BB 8130 is a CDMA version. Most CDMA phones come with 3g capability. If AT&T has the Peal, the versions are the 8100, 8120, or the 8120 because those are all GSM versions as AT&T is a GSM service provider.

Thank you, I see the 9000 is now online, but unsure when it will be available to purchase, the 8130 uses the EDGE network ( at least on AT&T). Trying to decide on the 8130 or the 9000 starting to have problems with current phone. Has anyone heard of a price point for the 9000?

Also, the Blackberry 8130 is already out and it supports 3G. I believe the Blackberry 8800 series with Verizon, Alltel, and Sprint should have that capability also. Most of the time, if it is with a 3G carrier (like Verizon, Spint, and Alltel) it suprts 3G because 3G is almost a universal feature with high tech CDMA phones.

Yes, the new 9000 using AT&T will be announced next week. Also if you have Verizon, the 8830 and new Curve use the EVDO high speed system.
