All I know is with Sprint the Pearl (Amethyst and Red) is free after mail-in-rebate. With T-Mobile it's free for the Red and the Sapphire Blue. For the Black and the White it's free PLUS $50 mail-in-rebate (I call it free money, lol). Either way it's a great deal. Here's the site:

I'm thinking of going for the T-Mobile not only because of the free $50 (that should cover what I'll pay for activation, lol) but also, the Fav 5 program T-Mobile offers will be an awesome advantage. IMO. Like I said though, either way, it's a good deal!

network is a big difference to me. Sprint offers terrible network coverage and bad customer service. Making them a bad choice when comparing carriers. YOu mentioned third party apps such as messengers, etc. Well, you can always download those off the blackberry site e.x.: www.blackberry.com/aim

Or you can go on other sites and do OTA downloads or use the desktop software. Another diff. is the fact that one has gps which may come in handy but not as much as you can get google maps with almost gps exactitude and have the wi-fi available with t-mobile.

My advice is that you go for T-mobile.

I know that they both have a 2.0 mega pixel camera. They both are similar.

Some differences are that the T-Mobile one has WiFi but not GPS and vice versa for the sprint one.

I know that the Sprint one comes in Amethyst colour.

I was wondering what other differences are there? and does the sprint phone not have the usual IM apps like AIM and MSN and Yahoo? or can you add them via 3rd party connections?

What other differences are there between the two?
