I happen to have almost the same issue with my palm. Last night a friend spilled her margarita on my cell. I dried up as much as i could and it didn't seem like it got in the phone just on the screen. My battery was about to die anyways so I just left it on. (stupid on my part) then I left my cell in my car for 5 hours, forgot that it was still off because it had a drink, and plugged in the charger. Oops! Well the light to let me know its charging turns on but the phone does not. So now I have it submerged in a lg. bowl of uncooked rice. Does anyone know what the likelihood of my phone is to turn back on?? Or if there is something else I could do?

remove battery and sim card imediately. use a can of compressed air to blow out water. put phone in a ziploc baggy with a bunch of uncooked rice. if you dropped it in saltwater or some other liquid with any chemicals in it you must rinse it with fresh water first. let phone sit for a day with the rice. it the only thing you can do, does not always work. this can be used many electronics.

So yeah, my Sync is just a tad bit waterlogged. If there's anything I'm sure of it, it's that the damage is minor. All the software was working but when some buttons were being recognized as other keys (Call button=0 key, center button=7 key), I restarted it. Now no buttons work. I can turn it on, but after that it doesn't recognize that I'm pressing keys. I have it Pinlocked, so I don't know if anything else is wrong.

I know there's no miracle fix for water damage, but it wasn't even submerged. It was clean tap water that spilled on it. What can I at least try to do to get my phone working again?
