Make sure you have a data plan otherwise you will not be able to install it.

its alright. desktop manager is a cd which contains all the standard applications/settings the phone initially comes with... i.e.: the blackberry messenger. you say its a t mobile phone, so it should have had that cd included. if it didnt, try to get it. other than that theres not much that can be done.

Sorry I am not to familiar on how to do that. I cannot find it at all anywhere. It's a T-Mobile phone, but I got it unlocked and use it in Canada. I don't know where to find it. My bad.

and so on and so on are the links you should go to from your device and install the instant message programs you desire to have in your phone.
I meant the actual Blackberry Messenger, not MSN/ICQ etc etc...You know how you have to upload it to the Blackberry phone in order to install it. I get an error when trying to get it that it's not compatible even though I have the latest firmware.

Is there is a reason that I wouldn't be able download the IM program to my Blackberry? Does it matter what cell phone provider I have? I have newer firmware than some people that actually have the IM on their phone. It says that it's not compatible with this phone. It's an unlocked T-Mobile phone that I am using in Canada (Fido/Rogers network).

    Any ideas?
