yeah the browser needs work. most websites tell me my java script isnt enabled when it is. I googled up a way to navigate through it by continuously converting from mobile to standard mode. it helps a lil.

Since a search did not reveal one, could we have a discussion about the new Samsung Instinct phone, which just came out last Friday (with Sprint anyway). Let's talk about the phone and not bash carriers, ok?

So far I love it. A couple things on the downside, like for example it would seem as if they want to *push* you into bluetooth. I'm sorry, but my bluetooth experience to date has been poor with any phone I have tried, where callers say that I sound only slightly better than Charlie Brown's school teacher. I'm not talking about the $29 bluetooth sets either where one may be able to expect that kind of quality.

Anyway, not to digress into bluetooth, the headset jack is 3.5mm. What were they thinking, when most headsets/earbuds have the 2.5mm jacks?

For the power of this thing, the manual is very lacking. I mean, I love the phone but the manual could go into a bit more detail if you are really looking for something. Like there does not appear to be a way to have NO SOUND for a received text message or voice mail. I thought ok, I'll download a *silent* MP3 ringtone to it, except that the manual does not talk about downloading ringtones to it. The local Sprint store reps said they could not tell me how to do that. Is that even possible?

Other than that, I love the phone as much as I've used it so far. It does not do as good a job as my previous Sprint Sanyo cell phone as far as picking up "marginal" signals, but that has been a characteristic of every Samsung phone I've owned, so I consider that a trade off.

    Jon
