    Hi Octavia
It's been a while but I am wondering which Samsung was it that had a this feature? I need a phone that does this.
    Thanks

Thanks for that info. I have in the meantime gotten a Samsung - very nice - in the manual it does not show missed call alert feature, but when going to
Sound Feature, then to normal, there is a way to get an alert tone for calls and a separate one for messages! It turns out that most new cell phones have these features but no one knows about them. The people at the company - The Booth - where I purchased the phone, did not know how to activate this feature. A chap at IBM did it for me.

Excuse me but I own an iPhone and as of the latest OS4.3 it DOES NOT HAVE ANY AUDIBLE MISSED CALL ALERT! This is a major shortcoming - should be re-named "Dumb Phone" because you have to constantly check it to see if you have any missed calls.

That App sucks because it doesn't run in the background. It has a very poor feedback rating. I'm afraid we have to admit the iPhone 4 has a major shortcoming. What is more important in a Smart Phone than audible user-selectible missed call alerts? The new OS4.3 now has sound alerts for messages (only good for 20 minutes so practically useless) but not for calls. Its like making an alarm clock with only a visual alarm. Very Smart!! lol Maybe the iPhone 5 will address the problem.

If you really like small phones why not try samsung's? They even have this cellphone that has those features that you want. So small that there's only two columns for keypads. I forgot the model though.

I have the same problem. Used to have a Motorola Razr and it was perfect.
It allowed me to quick dial 3 numbers - excellent feature - and it beep alerted me if I missed a call or message - also wonderful feature. It also allowed me to see my phone book very clearly and readily. I now have a blackberry curve and dislike it intensely and want to change, but cannot
find a phone with the same features - is there anything out there?
I don't need music or chatting or any of those features - I am a business-woman interested in getting on with my day. Can anyone suggest something!
    Thank you.

I have Verizon Wireless service and I also want the Large Display and Audible Missed Call alert. Which phone will meet these two needs?

How did the Nokia 5310 work?

    thanks,

I am looking for a phone with 5 specific features
    1. Big Display
    2. World Phone
    3. Bluetooth
    4. Audible missed call alert
    5. Voice dialing

my motorola v360 had all the features except the big display. i thought i found its replacement with the nokia 6133, but when i got it home, there were no settings for audible missed call alert.

i am with rogers, so am limited to their phones, can anyone suggest a phone with these features im looking for? (oh, i tried the razr2 and it had all the features, except it was too big for my hand and took both hands to open it )

    thanks for any help
