OK...here's some of the phones I'm looking at now.
Since there was no suggestions on what to get,
maybe someone can eliminate some of these options.
Which wouldn't I want? Why not?

    AT&T
    iPhone
    BlackJack II
    Tilt

    Sprint
    Treo 800w
    Mogul
    Curve 8830
    Instinct

    Verizon
    Dare
    SCH-i760

    Hello all,
I think I've held out as long as I can.
I'm in the market for my first cell phone, and I'm pretty much overwhelmed by all the information available. I'm sure that I'll use it to make some calls, but music and internet access are the top two selling points for me.
I think I'd prefer a bar or slider over a flip phone...and I think I'd prefer a touch screen, but I'm not set on anything yet.

The new iPhone was the early frontrunner, but I'm seeing a lot of anti-iPhone comments, especially about the price of AT&T's plan, which somewhat confuses me as their plans seem comparable monthly to all the other major providers in the area. (unless unlimited data is not something I need to be concerned about if I'm planning on frequent internet use?)

Another argument against the iPhone is that tethering may interest me (especially if it can somehow be done for multiple computers). Getting rid of the internet bill could offset a decent chunk of the phone plan.

I can get a corporate discount at Sprint/Nextel, AT&T, or Verizon, and I'm guessing most phones will be available on at least one of their networks.

So anyway...to make a long post short...
    1) I want a phone with a good mp3 player and internet. Any suggestions?
    2) Where can I find some good information about tethering?

    Any help is appreciated.
