It's not that pricey, I got the pro with a sprint plan for $239. The phone is great. I have some gripes about Opera, but that's Opera and not the phone.

anyone have any idea how good the reception will be on this phone. also, how is the durability on HTC's. I have seen a few iphones with cracked screens and am not sure if this is just to be expected with these kind of phones, or if if phone are just especially fragile

I have been doing a lot of research on this phone since my contract with sprint is up and i'm considering getting this phone. But it does look kinda think and all the review I have seen on youtube says that the touchflo is kinda slow. Really disappointing because I would really like to get this phone. But I dont think i will.

a little too pricey for me...

    wmexperts.com/articles/rumors/us_versions_of_diamond_and_tou.html

Well if you're interested, there are a couple of sites claiming that they know the date and will let you pre-order the Quad-Band version of the Diamond and the Touch Pro now. On The Go Solutions has the Diamond for $869.99 and listed for “mid-August” and the Touch Pro for the same price and at the same time. Mobilecity Online is a little gentler on the price for the Diamond at $699 and a little harsher on the availability date, Sept. 2nd.

So it looks like we (USA) will get it later this year and will have 3G!

    engadget.com/2008/06/04/the-htc-touch-pro

The first batch of devices will be Europe-bound in "late summer" with 900 / 2100MHz 3G alongside the quadband GSM and EDGE; North and Latin American versions are promised for later in the year.
