thanks for your answer, i actually was able to get a hold of the original ringtones that came with the iphone ( so they are in the correct format) i passed the to my i880 using myjal, they go to the media center location, but i can not put them as ringtones from there.
aS i mentioned above the option to transfer themm as RT is not there.

You will not find ringtones in the media player, They are in the sounds folder on the phone (not the card).
Webjal uses the web, Myjal does not.

hi there i have a problem assigning ringtones to my cellphone ( motorola i880).
    this is what i did:
i have my ringtone on my desktop ( mp3 format)
i used myjal to transfer the files directly to my phone.
they do appear on my media center.
    i can play them.
when i go to menu to assign them as ringtones the optio is not there.
this is what i have in the menu:
    lock
    rename
    send via
    music player
    delete all
    filter
    set view
    memory usage
    memory card
    set up.

also is there a difference between myjal and webjal as far as loading the mp3s to the phone??

any help will be greatly appreciated.
