You can make some serious money with old cell phones that people don't want anymore. I am not exactly sure how but if you do a google search You'll find a way.

Can someone help me brain storm on what sorts of things a person can do with an old cell phone? I know about the following:

-Nextels with Direct Talk can be used as walkie-talkies without a subscription

-phones without a subscription can be used free of charge for wireless 911

What are some other useful things that old phones can be used for? For example, can any certain old smart phones be used just for wi-fi access even without a subscription?
