I would wait. There is an article today in MacNN about the margin for Apple on the iphone. Perhaps with the hype dying down they will use price drops to continue the sales momentum

Hello all, here is my dilemma:

I have a birthday coming up on 10/11 and I'm debating whether or not to buy myself an iPhone for it. I already have AT&T service, but my contract isn't eligible for renewal until March. So, I'm torn between my impatience and my desire to give myself a great birthday gift and spending the extra $200. Also, I'm not sure what else Apple might have up its sleeve in the coming months and would be remorse if I miss out on the "next big thing" come March. I figure most people here have a much better grip on where the market will go - so all opinions are appreciated!

    Alex
