I am trying to figure out how to turn off the email notification sound on my Samsung Blast. I have unchecked the "New Mail Notification" radio button when I set-up email and it has stayed unchecked.

I have powered off and on, taken out the battery, logged in and out of email turned off "messages" sounds, and turned off all "Extra sounds". No dice.

I have also talked to TMobile and Samsung cust service level 2 and no one has been able to help me. They told me I guess I have to deal with it.

The only way I have gotten it to turn off is if I put the phone in complete silent mode - but then I have no ringtone, etc.

I am hoping someone has this phone and knows the secret trick to turning this off.
