    At present I use a telephone Nokia. I had the same problem that you. Since I knew the website of TonosDeLlamaDaGratis, all has been easy

    Hi,

    I found one solution to resolve issue... You have only to convert MP3 to WMA with these specifics parameters:
    Type: Windows Media Format 8;
    32 Khz;
    32 kbs;
    16 bits;
    stereo.

    It's average quality but is ok for cel phone.

    You may convert with wavepad sound editor (I do with creative wave studio)

    Have fun !

    It should work like your using an aac file with the music player.
    try to not pick out your mp3 through the tones menu n settings, but locate the file and press the left softkey on it, the press use image, then set as ringtone; Hey presto!
    hope it helps
    I've discovered that by converting the MP3's to AMR files that I can use
    my favorite ringtones.

    Hi all. Here's a silly question. I've had several Nokia and Motorolla phones
    in the past and have never had any trouble using my own MP3's as ringtones.
    Now I have a Nokia 5310 from Rogers and the damn phone won't let the user
    set their own MP3's as Ringtones.

    Can I do this without cracking my phone's firmware ???
