Virgin Mobile uses only Sprint towers, and does not roam to other towers. Unfortunately I believe there is no way to transition to Virgin Mobile without buying one of their phones, because their activation process (while similar to Sprint's), requires specific ESNs that only Virgin Mobile phones have.

I have a Sprint PCS SPH 1325 (Samsung ACE) that I want to work on the Virgin Mobile network. Is this possible in anyway at all? I mean since Sprint and Virgin sort of use hte same service, is it possible I can switch my phone over to a new prepaid service without having to discard my beautiful phone...?
