This morning Nokia announced a set of email and instant messaging services. The new services is tied to the Nokia's Ovi platform and enables users to access most POP3/IMAP email from their S60 handsets, as well as many of the major instant messaging platforms, such as Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Hotmail, Gmail and Google Talk, and AOL Mail. Nokia is also including Web-based access to Mail on Nokia's Ovi, which offers users spam filters and 1GB of storage for email. Users will be able to set up and gain access to Ovi email accounts from their PCs. Nokia Messaging will roll out to select markets in the first quarter of 2009, with other markets following later in the year. Read more at: Phone Scoop
