    i wonder if they count the free trials as seperate applications. but i suppose apple deserves a little puffery every now and again

    148apps.com hadn't mentioned what this app was but in June the most expensive was at $449 for MyAccountsToGo Dynamics GP and MyAccountsToGo SAP BusinessOne

    148apps.com reported that 10,000 applications have now been released and as a tribute they have created a cool looking page with all the app icons.

    They have taken the time to breakdown some interesting statistics: Here are some noteworthy numbers:

    • Games category is by far the most popular with 2,333 apps.
    • 24% of apps are free, 35% cost $.99… highest cost app was $899.99
    • Average cost of apps is $3.12.
    • September 2008 was the highest amount of apps created with 2,912 and May had the least with 2.
