I know that the workaround is to use the cell # as an email address since (at least in the us) every carrier has an email extension which can be used with the #. Does anyone know if there is an authoritative worldwide list somewhere?

I have heard rumours that Apple does not intend to add better MMS functionality to the iphone. Anyone know one way or another what the story here is?
