    if you have a sim in it, you can just go with airplance mode - no cell, and use it as an ipod

    i just got an iphone 4s. can i still use my old iphone 4 for just as an ipod for strictly music and not get charged for use of phone even if it says no sim?

    Only if the phone is unlocked. If it isn't unlocked, you can't do anything with it.

    i think you can do that. I use a third party iorgsoft iphone video converter, it also offers extract mp3 from video files.

    Yes, it will just say 'no sim' at the top.
