I also heard that if i get a sidekick unlocked i will only be able to make calls and text what about web browsing and stuff, is that not possible? or what other sidekick features wont work when unlocked?

It will work just fine if it is unlocked.

HOWEVER, scince its not a Fido locked phone, some things might not work as expected... its rare it happens but its a possibilty.
Also, Troubleshooting with the WTS dep will most likely not be possible scince its not a fido branded phone.
You will be able to get all the necessery settings for the network thrue CS, however you will have find where to put them in the phone yourself.

Hello there,
I am really sick of the phone that i have right now and one of my top choices is the sidekick. I know they dont sell it here in canada but if i were to get an unlocked sidekick will it work properly with fido canada?
Do i need a special plan or something?
Is there anyone out there that has done something like this and that could tell me if he/she had any problems at all?
Any extra info regarding sidekicks and fido canada will be greatly appreciated.
