    Thanks for the reply--Awesome

The goal is for me to not have to pay for my bill. (Work will pick up all calls---just not a data plan)I was hoping to avoid all extra costs and just use my phone for standard phone usage--(like standard texts) but be able to take advantage of Wifi and calendaring. Like a PDA

You could get a dual sim phone. Use your work sim for phone calls and add another sim for data? Also you could get a wifi phone and just use wifi instead of using the cell providers data.....

Love the forum. A lot of info!! Hopefully someone can help me out.

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish.

I'm about to receive a basic phone from work for free. (Nokia 6650) I have not received it--but will probably early next week. Work will pick up the cost of this phone and the monthly charge. My work does not allow Blackberry's or Smart phone simply because they do not want to pick up the extra costs of the data plans.

What I plan on doing is purchasing an unlocked Nokia E71 and bring my SIM over from the 6650. What I would simply like to do is use my E71 as, well, like a PDA. I cannot have a data plan on this account

Is this crazy talk or possible? From what I'm reading it does appear possible-but I'm a newbie.

    BTW - This is AT&T
