We would like to help you decide.

Since you mentioned that you spent most of your time Surfing the internet on your phone rather than making calls, I would suggest you get a Widescreen Touch phone with 3G capabilities.

I can suggest some these two phones from LG:

Unlocked LG KF700 - 3" touch screen, Shortcut Dial at the back, 3MP Cam & FM Radio.

Unlocked LG KF900 Prada II - 3" touch screen, with sliding QWERTY KB, 5MP Cam & 3G

If you decide to buy it from us, you can take advantage of the $12 discount that we offer exclusively for Cellphoneforums members. To avail, just type the promo code "cellphoneforums" during checkout.

Not very experienced myself. Still judging by your statements I'd guess one of the "free" phones offered by various providers would meet your needs.

i know absolutely nothing about cell phones, this will be my first one.....i have been doing alot of reading but its all so confusing.....here is a list of what i will be using my phone for.....im hoping somebody can make some suggestions on a phone....it is just for personal use not business.....

    - 2-3 calls per day for a total of maybe 30 mins
    - approx 10 text messeges per day
    - approx 1-2 hours a day of web surfing/emailing

any suggestions?.....and any ballpark numbers of how much a service would cost per month??
