I have had variety of cell phone brands: LG, AudioVox and UT Starcom. They have all taken quite a lor of beating in their time. The Audio Vox was actually dropped off a building and survived, had to put the battery and cover back on but otherwise was ok. My current UT Starcom has been sat on and slamed into buildings and even stepped on and its fine. I would not recommend sawing the thing in half though but all of those brands should be able to go the distance.
