I belive most of the smart phones will acomplish the task that you are looking for. Research in Motion's Blackberry is probably the most notable of the smart phones, however the best of them at this time according to computer shopper is LG. Some of my friends have told me that sometimes they need capabilities that their cell provider simply does not provide so they have gone and bought an unlocked cell phone and added a SIM card from their provider and used it with that provider. Unlocked phones tend to be very expensive - $450.

If you can wait the "Palm Pre" is supposed to be released soon, looks to be an interesting phone... I believe sprint is supposed to get it, not sure about other carriers though.
