I am very happy with my i776 through Nextel. I don't use it for anything but voice, if I want to access the internet or send emails, I much prefer to use my computer.
I use it for both business and personal. I would never put a mobile phone in my pocket, I wear it on my belt so I need the thinnest, smallest and lightest phone.
Also, I would never hold a mobile phone to my head, I always use the speakerphone or car kit. The only thing about the i776 that I don't like is that I can't use my plug in car kit from my i860. I won't use the bluetooth car kits, all they do is send yet another higher frequency bouncing around in my vehicle, I want an external antenna and the choice to use a 3 watt amplifier for the antenna. I have a good digital camera, so I don't use the camera on the i776.
From what I can tell, the only thing one do with a picture on the i776 is send it out to someone on the same network, so the i776 camera is completely useless to me.

Last off... maybe i'm just an absolute idiot when it comes to this, so if anyone can help me figure the following 2 things out, i'm all ears!!! 1- is there any way to use a photo as a caller id for someone in my phone book? I'd be damned if i could figure out how!!!!! 2- this phones features on this website says that it has an alarm clock... WHERE?!? I've never in my life owned or even heard of a cell phone that doesn't have one, but for some reason i can't find one on the i776. I've tried using the scheduler as an alarm but that did me no justice. it was a major pain in the but to set up then all it did was make a little beep one time that i could hardly hear when i was awake (so there's no way i'd hear it if i was asleep) PLEASE HELP ME WITH THESE LITTLE ANNOYANCES IF YOU CAN! MUCH APPRECIATION TWARDS YOU IF YOU CAN. THANKS To finally end off my rambling on... i do not have any complaints about what quality of service that i get for 50 bucks. you get what you pay for, so i was fully expecting it to be as bad as it is. I've seen a lot of talk about how well or awful boosts service is with the i776. Boosts service is cheap and is going to give you what you pay for no matter what kind of phone you are using. if you're going to get dropped or have in and out service, etc... that is Boost not the phone itself. Just figured i waste a line adding my opinion on that LOL
well the alarm clock is buried in datebook.. you set the reminder for time/day/ringtone if you cant figure it out srry dont got a crayon.. phones good for what your paying for (its an iden phone what do you expect)

ok this review has both sides of the coin buut. the phone, not bad, not getting calls/text messages? shut off your games/browser/java apps. if they send ANY data then it blocks all incoming data (calls texts etc..). also there is a setting for messages to either delay messages or grab immediately.. i laugh at those who complain about downloading messages, i mean would you rather (if not on an unlimited text plan) pay 10 cents per incoming text on mass spam that you know is spam or would you like the option to NOT read spam ( aka not download message) and not get charged.. idens aren't bad but can be a little tempermental to those not used to there nuances..

I like the i776. I haven't really had any issues with downloading texts or incoming calls going to voicemail. Coverage is pretty good. For what it is, boost is good service. You want the best quality, you're going to have to get a contract.

If you have problems with your service believe it or not but it could be your phone. Be sure to keep your receipt so you can exchange your phone for a new one. It just might change your mind. Remember those are Motorola phones, not Boost manufacturered phones.

Well it has worked for me pretty well so far
the only problem I had was the 1st txt messages took a lot to arrive
    but it works fine now
i called to customer service and i waited 3 minutes but they were very polite to me
don't know how were they to you

it's curious that the signal is superb for me and sux for u
    maybe because of my location??

you must work for boost or sprint to give such a one sided comment like this! even giving pricing, and saying that this phone is perfect! i have the phone!it's far from perfect! It needs alot of work!

1.) text messaging sucks.. period! unreliable!
2.) sometimes your calls go to voicemail
3.) call waiting doesnt work.. (i checked. it's on)
4.) customer service sucks! kids and dummies run the show there.
5.) text messages sometimes have to download and come late as hell
6.) during the day, placing a call takes forever!!!!

    the good side

1.) the phone has great walkie talkie..
2.) the speaker is loud and clear so you can keep it low so that the police don't see you talk and drive...
3.) when the phone does work, it works good.. nice and clean sound
4.) i don't remember getting a dropped call. Just an issue with recieving initial call.

If you can't afford or need to lower your bill.. this is ok to have till something else comes along... 50 bucks is a good deal for some high school kid. But for adults in the real world with a familes, and numbers for emergency issues.. it's hard to trust this IDEN Service..

but is it worth unreliable service???

    2nd option

I also have a boost CDMA active! the krzr.. not the best phone but text messaging is great, i have bars, and i trust this phone. I put this phone to the test, and it passed! I went to a friends house in the mountains.. you know the type of place.. Dirt road, hills, the whole nine.. CDMA BOOST worked fine!

Boost Iden Failed my trust test!

    as we speak

    CDMA PHONE 5 BARS
IDEN PHONE 2 ORANGE BARS (GOES BACK AND FORTH TO GREEN AND RED)

ok now it has 3 green..

    back to 1 red

    IN THE END...

IF the iden network can fix the text messaging issues.. i would stay! for now i'm sticking to cdma .. if they phase it out.. i'm gonna get a contract phone..

    This review is very true

Every single thing said here is very true

The first review on this phone needs to really look into the phone

Downloading text messages is pretty lame

This is my first time being with boost

I thought this phone would actually be some good

Even though the "positives" of the phone are good

Just doesn't seem to be enough to actually convince someone to want to

    Stay with this phone here..

Unless as bloodline said, they improved their texting and tweaked some

    Other things with this phone

Overall.... I'm sry I would give this phone two thumbs "down"

Not only was I dropping 10 times more calls with Metro, but the phone was equally as horrible. The battery wouldn't last through an entire day and it never seemed to have service. Now I have a phone that actually works.

The i776 is a great clamshell device with Bluetooth, a camera, AND Walkie-Talkie. Being able to connect instantly with all my friends wherever I need to, is awesome. Even though the i776 is compact, it's still solid and practical. External caller ID and the camera are the two features I love the most, but the Bluetooth is now just as used with the headset driving law now in effect.

I highly recommend the i776, it's at a great price point, $99.99, and I highly recommend Boost. Great service and a LOT less dropped calls than Metro. I'm on the Chat Plan too, which has been a great value for me. I have a lot of friends with Boost and Nextel and I have unlimited mobile to mobile and Walkie-Talkie now...so it's perfect.

Does anyone else have this phone yet?
