So I took the SIM, SD and BATTERY out to prevent any damage and took it the next dqy for an exchnge. The 3 local sprint stores refused to exchange it bc they said it was physically damaged by ME. So I went through 50 phone calls, emails and chat sessions and funally got an exchange for a new one (which I love now) and the sprint store did a visual repar (bvut not a mechanical one) on the device so it would pass inspection even though it did not work. So I went through hell but now I think it was worth it bc i LOVELOVELOVE my new BBC 8350i!!!
So you mean to say that when you purchased your phone before even walking out the door you noticed this problem and the rep told you not to touch the charging port?

    Tony E!
I updated the software on my 8350i, everything is fine except for the echo issue with and without my bluetooth headset, it's a very slight echo not annoying but of course it shouldn't be there, some say it's because of the rubber gel case but i don't use one on mine.

Hello, my name is BJ DeHut and I am a representative for Sprint. This is a news item from the BlackBerry Team regarding issues on the BB Curve (8350i):

"Sprint is working very closely with RIM to develop maintenance release software to resolve issues identified on BlackBerry Curve 8350i. The first software maintenance release will be available on Sprint - Software Downloads - Select your device type next week. Sprint will notify BlackBerry Enterprise Server customers the maintenance release is available through their IT administrators, and Sprint BlackBerry Internet Service customers will be notified through a PIN to PIN message.

We are diligently working on a fix for the known echo issue. It will not be fixed in this first release, but we are doing our best to identify the issue and correct it and hoping to include that fix in the next software release. One option that helps alleviate the problem would be to use the headset that comes packaged with the phone.

Sprint is also working with RIM on a second maintenance release to address the remaining issues, and hope to have it available shortly. Any customers have issues during the upgrade they can call care at 1-800-639-6111."
