    i think what he's pertaining to are the iPhones made in china Apple factories.
    i think at the back of my ipod touch it says "designed in california, made in china" so i think that's the one he's saying.

    im not sure about the quality issue.my itouch is still working very good after a year. i think it's just on the way on how you handle it.

    hongkong version, not too sure about them producing a higher quality phone. hongkong is technically a part of china. though some products of china come from hongkong, the major supplier of the products in hongkong however is the mainland china.. so i dont really think there's much difference.

    China made "iphones" aren't iphones. They're knockoffs. I wouldn't expect all the same features as the actual iphone. You get what you pay for in the end.

    im thinking of buying iphone 3G and i noticed that china made iphones are relatively cheaper. but im kinda hesitating because of the quality. i heard that the hongkong version is better. but its kinda hard to find in the web..

    so any suggestions on where can i buy a cheap iPhone?
