    This is definitely nonexistant.

    The pictures of the speculated 4G iPhone that i've seen does not have a glowing "apple" or whatever on the back.

    If its anything like the macbooks apple logo that lights up on the lid, it wont consume any extra resources. The macbook logo lights up from the light on your monitor, so its not an "Extra" light, its just letting existing light out. I imagine the iphone would do the same.

    Well, either way, it's a waste of precious battery life no matter how you slice it. If it's there, it's there, but personally, I'd prefer the extra juice to operate the phone rather than show off the fact that I have an iPhone.

    A little too much flashy-ness for me. It's more of an advertisement for Apple, or a "looky looky, I've got an iPhone" statement. If you ask me, I think something like that, if it's true, is a waste of system resources to put it in in the first place, and, a waste of battery when implemented. Why would they do something like that when they go to such extremes such as the proximity sensor shutting down the display (to save energy aside from preventing spurious inputs). Sounds like a move backwards if you ask me, and, until I see it on the actual model, I'd think that might not really be the case.
