Sounds like they have a few issues to address....And make the public aware of.

I heard about this one guy who had the 3GS reported problems that his ear was in excruciating pain as the IPhone burnt his ear, and Apple have also stated the white model may become pink from discolouration due to overheating. I'm sorry but that's one company that is not having my money.

It’s dangerous to work in muggy place or under hot sun during summer while globle temperature become higher and higher slowly. At the the same time, iphone may will be ill working in high temperature condition.A pple has warned iPhone users to keep a close eye on their devices during the current heat wave to avoid encountering overheating related problems.
“Operate iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS in a place where the temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F). Low- or high-temperature conditions might temporarily shorten battery life or cause the device to temporarily stop working properly,” Apple’s support page states.
In certain cases, the iPhone will display a temperature warning screen that will flag to users that their phones need to cool down before use. They may still be able to make emergency calls, however.
