I upgraded from a T-mobile Razr V3. (was using that phone after dropping my Samsung Gravity which caused it to break..)

And yes, the regular texting and picture messaging works fine.

    Yes.

No, I don't have a T-mobile internet plan, but I dont think you need it to use the IMing feature. The IMing clients worked on my old phone when I didn't have an internet plan.

I configured the t-mobile internet settings for my phone and set them to be used by the IM programs but that didn't work..

I guess to help, I would like a little more information.

When you say the IM'ing feature, do you mean the pre-installed IM programs (yahoo, AIM, windows live)? Or the Texting/Picture messaging.

Do you have the internet plan with T-Mobile? If so, have you setup the proper internet settings to work with T-Mobile? Because it was probably an AT&T phone, the internet settings are probably setup for the MediaNET internet settings, which is AT&T, and won't be compatible with T-Mobile.

If you have all those proper settings, I would recommend checking the connection settings in the IM Programs and make sure they are looking at the T-Mobile internet connection, not MediaNET.

    Hi

So, I recently unlocked my Samsung Impression to be used with T-Mobile.
Everything works ok, except for the "IMing" feature.
I was wondering if there was a way to fix this?... I cannot seem to get it to work.

    Thanks for any help!!
