    How old is the phone/battery?

So I leave my N85 to charge, battery indicator shows it's charging. I come back after a few hours, and find the battery indicator constant at 2 bars. I disconnect the charger, restart the phone and it now shows 7 bars! Which one is correct? This phone model is supposed to have a good battery life, which I'm not really convinced of so far, so I tend to believe the 2 bars version.

Has anyone had this happened? Many thanks for any help on this.
