I see. The Storm is a great phone. It takes a little getting used to, but that doesn't take long. It got better with the last software update. After taxes it comes to around $100 a month. The blackberry plan alone is $30 a month extra.

I've had a blackjack when it first came out with ATT and then went to Verizon where I had a voyager that kept hanging up on my husband when he'd call from Iraq. so they let me switch to a blackberry. Well our bill was steady till my husband came back, then it kept going up and up and they couldn't tell us why. It was ridiculous. Alltel was big here and it just recently became offically verizon.

I see you have the storm on your profile, mind if I ask you how you like it? Are you on a family plan and what does it cost per month for just the blackberry service?

What phones have you used in the past?

It sounds like you'd want a smartphone. If I were you, I'd take a look at Windows Mobile 6 phones, Blackberry, and Palm.

As far as providers, are you at the end of your alltel contract? If not, you should just stay with them instead of paying another ETF.

Hi everyone. I am new and have some questions that i was hoping to get some answers/suggestions on.

Last nov my husband and I paid out our verizon contract to go with Alltel. Imagine the look on our faces and words we used after we found out 2 months later that Verizon was merging with Alltel, awesome.
Well now that the area here is 'offical' verizon now we want out again.
We also are going to get rid of our cabel to help save some money before our move.

So we are looking for phones that we can get full html internet, not just mobile web. We want to be able to do EVERYTHING we could do on a normal internet computer on our phone. But we don't want to pay for bad service. We hear negatives and positives for each. I really like blackberry phones (wishes the storm was on ther networks). My husband just wants a phone where he can get full internet access and has a good screen size.

Any suggestion on phones/plans? Also if anyone has any suggestions on what we might be able to do with our current verzion hell to get blackberry on ONE phone for a family plan that would be appreciated. I just don't want to pay out verizon again and somehow get back to them.

    Thanks in advance
