Hello! I am new to the forum, I have a HTC Tilt2 and I have the same problem, any solution? It is unbearable to have to be removing the battery.

    Regards,

    David

I've been having the same issues with my HTC Incredible. They did a factory reset on it, but that didn't seem to fix it. I'd like to see them come out with a patch or something to fix it.

I just purchase an HTC Ozone as well and it's only 1 week old and it is totally frozen. It would not take my passcode to open, phone calls can come through , but I'm unable to answer them. I can't access anything on the phone. I'm taking this piece of junk back to Verizon today!

Before I updated my HTC Ozone to Windows Mobile 6.5, I didn't have nearly as many problems. I think the battery life is a little longer now, but it consistently freezes at least once a week to the point that I have to take the battery out to restart it. Also, the messaging program freezes at least twice a day, and when it's not freezing it's horribly sluggish.

Yes, mine just froze up yesterday after using Internet Explorer to search for a Comcast phone number. I figured the solution was to take out the battery as every button (and combination of buttons) press attempt was in vain.

I have had mine for about 2 months. They replaced it friday because of the locking up issues I was having. My new one is doing the exact same thing. Anytime I am online, it locks up and then I can't do anything at all until I reset the phone. Very annoying and they tell me I am stuck with this phone for 2 years unless I want to pay retail for something better.

Yes. I have a similar problem...which is freaking annoying. The phone is set to lock for security purposes but when a txt. or email msg. arrives the phone locks up as soon as I hit any key on the phone. I then have to remove the battery and start all over again.
    Very disappointed.

I took my previous HTC phone back to Verizon for not receiving a signal... O well I will keep up with the antics until HTC fesses up.....FreddyMac

I too have the same problem.. I was with altel and had the htc touch same thing froze all the time, i did not learn my lesson. well in about a week of having this phone it froze about 4 times i can not keep it like this so i will just get a regular phone. i used this one for excel and other office docs but it is not worth it. i talked to a tech there at verizone and told me that with windows based phones they all tend to freeze up the most even more than blackberries.do what iam doing and get ouyt of the phone while you still can . -Tom

I have ordered approximately a dozen for our office and nearly EVERY ONE is locking up. It originally appears the phone is turned off, then you notice the keyboard has a faint glow to it and that you cannot boot it up. It also acts as if it is off if you recieve any calls during that time, it will send them instantly to voicemail. We have to remove the battery to get the phone to reboot. We are working with Verizon tech support on this. Will post a resolution if one is found. They told me this is their MOST reliable ppc.

I am trying to figure out if it is a windows mobile 6.1 issue. I had the exact same problem with my HTC touch pro. It use to lock up on me several times a day. That is why i was anxious to get the Ozone and it does the same thing. Some days, the ozone will lock up on me 4-5 times and then not do it for days. I always lock my phone before holstering it.

We ordered about 10 of these phones for work about a week ago and almost every one of them is doing the exact same thing. We initially thought they were powering off but then realized the keyboard had a faint glow to it so we then assumed they were locking up. We have a large business account with verizon and they have a tech support specialist working on this problem now. One question, do you use Microsoft Activesync push to get your email and contacts? I think that may be where the problem lies.

Is anyone else out there having a problem with the HTC Ozone Freezing up? I have only had the phone for a week and took it back and they replaced it but it just keeps freezing and locking up on me. I have to remove the back panel and take out the battery about twice a day.
HELP! Verizon says that they haven't had many issues on this, I don't believe it.
