SORT OF solved my own problem.....

1 insert SD card and format it with the phone.

2 remove card and put into usb adapter

3 put ringtones into 'other sounds' folder

4 put card back into phone

    5 menu > my media > audio > downloaded

6 highlight the song you want and select options and then move, hit yes when it asks 'move to phone?'

7 menu > settings > sound > ringers > all calls (or call id if you want) > downloaded

8 select ringtone and you're done

i'd still like to know if there's a way to get them to play from the card. Phone memory isn't very big

I've spent an hour last night and 2 hours this morning looking for information on how to get ringtones set from the microSD card. When i try to change the ringtones it gives me 3 options : Recorded audio, downloaded audio, and default. The downloaded folder is empty, so i'm assuming thats easyedge downloads.

Do I need a data cable, or can i even accomplish what i'm trying to do here? Right now I just have the sd card with card reader.
