Yep, actually to get a real one you either have to get a two year contract with ATT, and pay some $99.00 or more. Without a contract, some good $600.00.
Now, you can get whatever you want, no problem there, Iphone should have very good warranty, but just about anything that resemble an IPhone, it's an IPhone knock off. There is nothing better than to get the real thing, but sadly, not everybody can afford it, so we settle at least for the look alike. I have a Sciphone i68+, and even in youtube, they show videos hand to hand of the IPhone and the Sciphone, and I bet you couldn't tell the difference. You are right, the IPhone knock off don't have all the app. as the IPhone, but at least we can show off, jajaja, just kidding. Well, what? enjoy your IPhone my friend.

It does have internet capabilities by way of WAP, like I said before, you need to configure it yourself. It does have E-book reader and it works pretty good. You can also, depending on the firmware, install Opera mini, at least on the Sciphone firmaware V.4. On the music ground, it doesn't have any equalizer at all, so for the quality of the music you must have a damn good headset. I am currently using Nolan BT headset, and that makes the music player works great, very good sound in deed with the BT headset. With the original wire headset, you can hardly hear the music in public places. Indoors? OK.

I forgot to mention, when buying the phone, just ask before you buy it if the phone have a Sciphone logo @ start up, if the battery is white with the Sciphone logo on it. The reason that I'm telling you this is because the Sciphone is an IPhone clone, but other are clone of the Sciphone. So if you buy one with the CAT or MAWI logo, is a clone of a clone. Nice hunting my friend.

As long as you buy an unlock phone it don't matter where you buy it. If it help, I'll give you a feedback about mine. I bought mine off Ebay, it's an i68+ Sciphone, which is pretty much an IPhone knock off.
    1. Style same as IPhone, with a six pages main menu. This means that with your finger or the stylus pen you can scroll the menu.
    2. It cost me $118.00, but you can get it a lot cheaper. It support up to 8gb. of memory card.
    3. Dual Sim card. You can use two sim card at the same time.
    4. The battery can hold charge like for 2 days straight, normal use. But it was shipped with two batteries, home charger and car charger, usb cable.
    5. For data information you will have to set it up yourself, so you need to have your wireless service provider information when you get your phone. Once set, you'll be able to use the internet.
The only thing that I don't like is that is not really a smartphone or a PDA. It's just a regular fancy phone. In some places in the phone it only allow you to write up to 35 character, not a lot. So this is what distinguish the IPhone from the Sciphone. Another bugger is that you can't assign individually ringtones to your contacts, it allow you to use 5 ringtones. Oh, you can save all the ringtones you want, but only 5 of them can be use, the others are pre-installed ringtones. If it's a stylish nice regular phone that you are looking for, then go for it. If it's something a bit more advance in technology, then search for something else. For now, I'll stick with mine.
