I currently live in Japan and am using docomo (for those who know) as my cell phone Service Provider. Curretly I am using a pretty retro cell phone made by Sharp.

But I was looking into changing cell phones to a smartphone. Frankly the smartphones in this country are s**t. And I mean s**t. The iPhone is the only product with decency, and that is American made, plus it can only be used with a provider called SoftBank.

Now here is the question. Is there a way to hack a cell phone so that I could use American smartphones in Japan, using docomo as the provider?

you must also understand that there is hardly any wifi in this country, so the internet browsing function will be done through docomos provider system.

So is there anyway to get around this?

I personally want Palm cell phones

    Thanks in advanced
